Glucose Response Tests

A few times a month, I test my blood sugar 1-hour & 2-hour after eating specific whole foods.

I’m standardizing the results as much as possible with the following rules:

  • Measure baseline glucose about 10AM
  • No food for ~12 hours before test
  • Allowed to drink 1 coffee & ~30 oz. of water (part of morning routine)
  • Eat 300 calories of one specific food
  • Measure blood glucose after 1-hour
  • Measure blood glucose after 2-hour
