Weight Loss Chart on Keto Diet - July 2016


Starting Weight: 144 lbs

Ending Weight: 141 lbs

Monthly Weight Loss: 3 lbs

Total Weight Loss (Since 11/1/2015): 35 lbs


On the diet front, my garden was OVERFLOWING with summer vegetables, namely cucumbers, yellow squash, green beans, burgundy beans (which turn green after cooking) and tomatoes.

Paired with the summer heat, it’s been a grill-heavy month.

I’ve been wanting to do experiments with blood glucose, however this month was truly dedicated to increasing my physical activity.

For the vast majority of my weight loss, my goal was to develop sustainable and healthy eating habits.

Nothing is 100% and it’s always a matter of self-discipline. But I feel pretty good about where I’m at now.

When it comes to exercise (like most things), I’m a minimalist.

I want to do the easiest routine that I’m willing to go through every day, and embed that within my brain so it becomes second nature.

My exercise mainly consists of the following: stretching, push-ups, kettlebell swings, resistance bands (I use an efficient, full-body version called SomaSole), and last but not least… yard work!

For the past 2 weeks, I’ve done some form of workout every morning, even if it’s only 15-20 minutes.

I can already feel the benefits.

On day one, I could only do 20-25 push-ups max.

Yesterday, I did 40 in one set.

All together, I’m aiming for about 100 push-ups per day and 50-75 kettlebell swings. If I go light with those workouts, I’ll do resistance training with shoulders, biceps, hip and core.


  • Lowest Weight EVER recorded: 140.8 lbs
  • Some fluctuation earlier in the month at 146 lbs
  • Even though my miles walked was lower, physical activity was more strenuous this month
  • I didn’t take my blood sugar or ketone level at all, mainly because I spent mornings on my workout routine
